Landmark: Shoshone Falls
|
Shoshone Falls on the Snake River near Twin Falls, Idaho drops 212 feet to the Snake River below. Often referred to as the Niagara of the West, you may miss the comparison if you don't catch them at the right time. This is because the Idaho Power Company built a diversion and uses the drop for generating electricity. As a result you only see the spetactular water running over the falls at certain times of the year.
